How Counselling Helps

“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”

Shannon L. Alder

There are always times in life when we need support, especially in today’s busy world, when facing emotional difficulties. Counselling will provide you with a framework for where you are right now. Working together we can find answers.
Trained in Psychosynthesis, I tailor any work to suit each unique individual, using an integrative approach that utilises techniques from other approaches, for example, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, 12 step programmes and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
The relationship with your counsellor is crucial to any work done together. I work gently and kindly. I am aware that as human beings we may have been hurt or wounded in relationship with ourselves and others, and this is why the relationship with a counsellor can heal.
I offer counselling to individuals, couples and groups helping you to reconnect with your true self and find your way again. I encourage creative methods of self-exploration and expression, through art making, writing, and via the use of imagery and active imagination.
Always consider contacting me as making that first contact is a profound moment, an enormous step into regaining your direction, purpose, and who you really are.
